Session Notes :

Today, we rescued some monsters from a princess! Wait… uh, well there wasn't a princess, but we did rescue some monsters. This was a follow-up from the one where we captured a couple manticores for for local merchant lord and renowned dumbass Basri IV, who wanted to start up a gladiatorial arena for fighting monsters. Clement Decroix, a Merrish man and elder brother to S Ranker Lie Decroix, thinks this is a bad thing, and he did some work ahead of time. He found where the monsters are being held, a remote and concealed facility in the Remlith, and that the affair is being managed not by Basri, but by a half-elf man named Edguard, who, incidentally, is a wanted criminal. Dunno what for. A slippery shady character by all accounts. Clement wants the party to got out, infiltrate, and bring back some kind of evidence that can be used to shut this down, cause this is illegal.

So we tried stealth first. That didn't go so well. Then we tried diplomacy, and that didn't work out either. Then we tried violence, and it went very well! Remember kids, violence is usually the best answer! So partway through (nonlethally I swear) beating up the various guards, a couple little baby dragons busted out of their cages and started messing up the guards. We got the remaining guards to surrender, and got the dragons to stand down. I promise diplomacy wasn't involved, it was only violence really honest. So after everyone stopped panicking or killing or dying, we got plenty of paperwork, and agreements for testimony from a few guards but also the dragons! The fact that there's dragons here makes this super bad, cause dragons are sentient, which makes it slavery. Unfortunately Edguard was nowhere to be found, evidently having peaced out a week ago. We'll get him next time!
