Session Summary :

So we all grabbed the Storm Stick and… uh, does anyone actually know how to use this thing? No, but Torikku faked it well enough! Away we went to Lieuxxere! We landed on target! Very on target! We arrived, at the Manor, in the air, above a lake of icky goop! Like when we had to get Tali's blood! Ephraim and Histan fell in, but Torikku is magic, Rain can fly, Njonja's also magic and she grabbed Thom cause she figured the other two could swim okay. Ephraim got super grossed out and Histan heard spooky whispers in the Not Water. And then a bunch of shadowy whatsits started lurching out of the surrounding woods and we cheesed it! Into a big hole in the roof caused by some kinda explosion! And then we heard a spooky howl from downstairs… and it turned out to be a big ol gross maggoty warg! From Okwari's backstory! Okwari was spooked, but then he wasn't! But then he was again. We ran away from it but it took a bite out of Rain! Gross. And then Torikku was spooked while we moved a big honkin statue over a trap door cause the warg kept passing it's save vs being teleported away! But then it failed and went away, for now.

We scooted downstairs and then it was time for Njonja's fear! The world faded and returned, and we seemed to be in Muwamaka, so Njonja (checked for drop bears and) led the party towards Chinguwa, AKA home. Expecting the worst… but things looked fine. Good even! Too good, there weren't that many kiddos last time she was home… Someone ran to grab her mother and mentioned that Njonja was supposed to have been killed at “that Manor in Merril”. Mama arrived, familial conversation, some JERK asked for an embarrassing story about Njonja so now I hafta make up a reason she's scared of koalas (EDIT: man, remember koalas?) and it has to involve a hippo! But umm… neither Njonja nor anyone else was really believing any of it was real, so we were kinda just waiting for the shoe to drop. Njonja asked where all the kiddos came from and we had a roundabout conversation and oops that succubus she tricked Mtsuwe into summoning decided to “help” the Chingwe with their population decline. Harsh words were exchanged (… No it was just Njonja) and we tried to leave but we couldn't get anywhere…

Rain and Njonja climbed up to the pavilion to look around and the succubus was there, still wanting to talk. Njonja didn’t. She bound her wings and threw her to the forest floor, hundreds of feet below. Succubus didn't seem harmed, and wanted to be freed by the one who “summoned” her (that’s not what happened, Logan and I had some miscommunication about Njonja's backstory). I don't know what Logan thought this was supposed to look like in terms of a decision, to me it looked like “I gotta free this crazy sex demon and set her loose in the world or we're not progressing in the game”. So I sicced her on Bann Seamus, despite certain unnamed party members (EDIT: their names are Ephraim and Rain) volunteering as tribute. Then the forest faded and Logan “revealed” that the only real thing there was the succubus, who is really going after Bann Seamus.

So of course, after putting me through all of this, Logan says hey Ben there's a bunch of dead guys and one alive guy, please describe him! Enter Amaud, older human scientist lookin' gentleman, who is currently scared out of his pants. Says he used to work here! And he didn't believe the party was real until Ephraim cracked him in the noggin with his spear for 75% of his health. He just wants out, he's tagging along for the moment. There were also cocoons in the room (also the stairs we had come down were collapsed, and only then did we notice that Laeris hadn't accompanied us to the mansion at all), Ephraim cut one open and there was a tiefling inside with a gross bug nest in his face and he tried to grab the dagger and kill himself but Ephraim ko'd him. And that's where we stopped.
