Session Notes :

For once, everyone who was supposed to be here showed up on time, and we had no other scheduling conflicts! Praise the saints!

Everyone arrived around the 14th hour at the FGC Guild Hall and introductions were brief. The team consisted of Rya, Franklin, Jacques and Thom. After the introductions and after a bit of debate, we decided that it would be best to head to the guard barracks as to ascertain more details on the job. The sergeant gave the team permission to meet the murderer/thief, one Yfan Blagoyovich, a merg, in his cell. He's in the maximum security section, chained to the wall hands and feet, magic suppressing bracer, and the cell window is a one-way mirror. Thom disguised himself as a guard, and using that disguise pretended to offer the bastard a way out in exchange for the location of his stash. He succeeded, and got a locker near the fighting rings on the north side of town.

There, Thom disguised himself as Yfan, and tried to pick the lock on the locker. During this attempt, someone else showed up to that same locker, a well to-do looking half-elf man, whose name was never determined (but it's Tuccio). Thom (disguised as the murderer), intimidated the fuck out of him, Tuccio unlocked the locker, Thom removed some money and jewelry, and Thom told Tuccio that they were going somewhere more private to conclude their business. IDK where he was gonna lead him, but Tuccio spotted the other party members, and to keep up appearances, Thom said to split, run, and meet at the Golden Goose. Tuccio teleported away.

Thom changed back to himself, and pretended to be an undercover guard. He convinced the owner, Mrs. Montia, to help him out, but as it happens, Tuccio never showed up. Thom stayed at the Golden Goose, while the others went to the enchanter's shop, the location of the last contact with the journal's psychic tracer. The enchantress recounted her encounter with Yfan. He had requested the trace removed, but she refused, and he left. Then they went to where Yfan was apprehended, a rented flat on the northwest side, and there found a suspiciously journal-sized pile of ash swept under some furniture.

So they found the journal, they technically fulfilled the contract, they got paid, but man they were all kinds of depressed at the end. I'd say I feel guilty but I don't really. Does that make me a bad person? Probably.

Peace

Bug
