Session Description :
Time to recover some epic poetry buried in the desert. Go get it boyz.
Session Summary :
Adam ran the last part of Thom's quest for stuff to get his theater going.
The Squad: me and Colin we the only ones to show up, so it was just Jürgen and Ecafkcuf Io.
The Mission: so there's this play by this long dead exile called the Skald (like Shakespeare is the Bard) and there's plenty of copies about, but uh… people keep revising it. I'm sure there's a perfectly good reason but it's annoying, Thom wants the original, or a transcription. The original was buried with her, so we gotta go uh… get it.
The catacombs had a cool name I forgot, and a very old wise exile elder watching over them. And like his niece or something, who made excellent gumbo. Normally they don't let non exiles or even non kin down there but uh see there's been in intrusion of bugs and well he's far too old wise to go clear them out himself. We didn't tell him we wanted the manuscript of course, merely that we wanted to visit the grave and pay respects, and Adam let us get away with it despite our 7 Charisma each. See we understood each other. Neither of us is good at people.
He led us down, we killed some ankhegs and rust monsters, and found the sarcophagus. Nothing. Let's check the other one. Oh it shot at us but missed. Yup there's a secret passage. There's the stuff. Oh, and a squatter. A sand drake thief (a Watcher, the Not Gargoyle dudes who are supposed to be half gargoyle half dwarf but I think that's dumb so they're something else but idk what) was laying low in here, and we kinda had to convince him to let us take the manuscript (it was etched in thin metal sheets, cause this shit is like 700 years old). I mean we coulda just shot him but eh. We agreed not to tell anyone he was here, and that we would return it after making a copy (he seemed to care about them. Maybe he was planning to take them once he left…). And in this we succeeded. Hooray!
